Poem for my Pop

The lights have gone out,
The home has gone quiet.
The light that was once you is no longer alight.
The sun has gone down,
The moon has come up.
I look to the sky,
To try and catch a glimpse of you there.
I no longer see you,
But I can feel you.
You live in my heart,
My memories.
You do not rest in the ground,
You soar in the sky.
I still cry but I know,
One day we will meet again.
